You'll make a great impression with your company's logo on L.L.Bean products. Custom logo embroidery, available online, is our most popular type of personalization. Monogramming, engraving and screen printing are available by phone order only.

Personalization Options  

 

Logo Embroidery 

 

Our advanced digital equipment lets us combine the precision of computer scanning with the seasoned skill of our expert needle workers. With each step, we take the time to provide you with the quality you expect from L.L.Bean.

 

You may use up to nine colors of thread, which we can help you choose. To ensure that the colors in your logo will come out exactly as you want them, provide us with the Pantone®/PMS color values.

 

Our Setup fee includes one design and up to two colorways. We recommend setting up a light colorway for darker products, and a dark colorway for lighter products.

 

As part of the order process, we'll send an electronic mockup of your logo displaying the size and location, followed by a digital sample for your approval. 

 

Logo Embroidery File Formats 

We can accept a logo file up to 3.5 MBWe prefer vector artwork in EPS or PDF format. We will also accept logo files in the following formats: PNG, GIF, TIF, PSD, JPG, BMP. Please only send us logos you have the legal right to use. Once your order is complete, your uploaded logo will be saved to your account for use on future orders. If we have your logo on file, we will deduct the embroidery setup fee. 

 

How to Upload Your Logo for Embroidery

 

If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to login or create an account before uploading logos. You may upload up to 2 logos as a guesthowever, you will need to create an account to place your order. 

 

  • On the product page, after you have completed steps 1 and 2 (selected colors, sizes and quantities), select a logo placement from the dropdown under step 3, “Add a Logo.”
  • The My Logos modal opens. Click the “Upload a Logo Button,” browse and select the file from your PC. The modal will display the uploaded logo with the file name. Click the “Apply” button to add the logo to the selected product. 
  • If Logo Preview is available (most apparel) you will see your logo on the product image. If Logo preview is not available, you will see your logo on a color swatch.
  • Verify the logo image and placement and add Special Instructions if needed. 

If adding multiple products to your order, you only need to upload your logo once. It will appear as an uploaded logo in the My Logos modal and you can apply it to other products.

 

Please note:  If you have ordered from L.L.Bean for Business before, and we have your logo on file, we will deduct the embroidery setup fee.  

 

How to Apply an Approved Logo to a Product

 

When you create an online account and you are logged in, your digitized or “Approved” logos will be displayed on the My Logos page. An approved logo is one that L.L.Bean for Business has set up and digitized. Approved logos display in My Logos when you are logged into your account. Approved logos have additional file informationfile name, design ID, dimensions and last used date. They are also differentiated with a green check mark in the upper left corner. 

 

  • On the product page, after you have completed steps 1 and 2 (selected colors, sizes, and quantities), select a logo placement from the dropdown under step 3, “Add a Logo.”
  • The My Logos modal opens. Your “Approved” and “Uploaded” logos are displayed. Select an “Approved” logo to use a logo you have file. You will not be charged a set-up fee.
  • If Logo Preview is available (most apparel) you will see your logo on the product image. If Logo preview is not available, you will see your logo on a color swatch.
  • Verify the logo image and placement and add Special Instructions, if needed.
  • Click the "Add to Bag" button to save your selections in the Shopping Bag.
  • You can continue to shop, create a self-service quote or proceed to checkout from the Shopping Bag.
  • Your Shopping Bag will hold your items (but not inventory) if you are logged in. 

Logo Preview 

 

You can see a preview of your uploaded or saved logo on most of our bestselling products. This feature is available for the most popular placements on products such as shirts, jackets, polos and fleece to give you an idea of how your logo will look on the selected color of the product.

 

This is only a previewyou'll still have a chance to approve your logo and placement before we sew it. If the Logo Preview feature is not available for the product or placement you selected, you will see your logo on a white background. 

  

Logo Embroidery Placements 

 

In the “Add a Logo dropdown” (step 3 on the Product Page) we provide the recommended placement and two or three alternatives for the product selected. The placements are represented on a line drawing of the type of product selected.  

 

For a uniform look, we encourage you to be consistent when selecting your logo placements. Example: all logos on Left Chest. 

 

When the same product for Men’s and Women’s have different recommended placements, we will provide a drop-down menu for each product so that you can decide the best placement for group outfitting. 

 

Avoid unique logo placements for single units since your costs will escalate quickly if you choose many different products with unique logo colors/placements.    

            

Lead Times for New Logo Set Up 

 

First-time orders usually have two stages: setting up the logo and then applying the logo to merchandise. Logo setup usually takes about a week; logo application and order processing take about two weeks. Repeat orders are generally shipped in eight business days. 

 

Note: Estimated lead times may increase from November through January due to higher volumes. 

New Logo Design Process

Once we receive your online order, an L.L.Bean for Business Account Representative will contact you to approve your new logo design, thread colors and placements.   

 

Our Graphic Artists will create an electronic picture of the logo for size and placement on your items.   

 

We will send you a digital embroidery sample by email for your approval.  

Upon your approval, we will embroider and ship your order.
